A late 19th. century German bracket clock by Winterhalder and Hoffmier, makers of good quality bracket clocks. The 8 day movement strikes the quarter hours on two gongs, often referred to as ‘ting tang’ striking. Brass dial and solid mahogany and satinwood strung case, brass and silvered dial with ‘rise and fall’ and ‘strike / silent’ dials.
