Born in the north of England in the 1950s, I have always had an interest in mechanical things. Although my early career was office based, it didn’t take me long to decide I wanted to do something more interesting.
Being a passionate collector of clocks since my early 20s, it seemed the obvious career choice for me.
Having attended the world renowned WEST DEAN COLLEGE on a two year diploma course, I set up my first workshop in 1982 in Cirencester. Quickly establishing a reputation as a restorer, my customers started asking my advice about buying clocks, so, I added buying and selling to the services I offered.
Now based in a shop right in the centre of Cirencester, I, together with my assistant, continue with restoration, as well as offering a good selection of clocks for sale.
Being one of the few clock dealers who also has a full working knowledge of the mechanics of antique clocks, gives me the ability to know the subject literally inside out.
